peace, be so f**kin still
You really do get to a point where it’s like, I’m not finna go back and forth with you. Please be so for real. We live in a world where people mistake peace for passivity and manufacture chaos & crises as a means to feel in control, to have something “to do.” Bish, if you don’t sitcho azz down somewhere, I swear to Gawd! I’m not gonna delve deep into the subject. That’s what I wrote a book for. But it’s a recurring theme with people in this world, especially those who still operate from ego. Once you’ve done that work however, you no longer wish to entertain foolishness or people who truly don’t see themselves. It’s kinda sad when you think about it. As enlightened beings, it’s not your job to “fix” people. It’s your job to embody your highest vibration so that people see that as a reflection of what’s possible and then go forth on the journey to “fix” themselves, IF they choose to. It’s a constant process of evolution. And that’s also not to say that you are better than or above anyone, but once you reach a certain soul level, you can’t just be around anybody or allow anybody who is still operating from a place of malfunction to be in your energy. We all have our own cross to bear. Don’t try to hold the weight of another who isn’t willing to roll up their sleeves and carry the weight of their own. And I promise, if you try to come for the peace I have so painstakingly cultivated in my own life quest, you’ll find out exactly why they call me the Wicked Witch of the West. Hehehehehe 🪄
Down in the valley where the green grass grows…
Well, I’m here in the Mojave Desert, and while I am at a beautiful Oasis, the land beyond is not exactly what I would call lush and green, but it is absolutely, breathtakingly beautiful. I always knew I could be a desert gyal ever since I read The Alchemist and went in search of my own personal legend. It is peaceful here. And beautiful. And yes, Sweet HaHt, I do get a whiff of your fragrant musk every now and again on the breeze. I ain’t trippin tho. You just do you and I’ma do meeeee. And we shall meet when the Universe intercedes. Ugh. The night sky is awe-inspiring. I mean total darkness. How can anyone look up and not feel the gravity of their own meager existence, like a mere mortal, not even a spec of dust in the grand scheme of this intergalactic majesty. And I’ve seen soooo many shooting stars. As well as a UFO! Hopefully they’re coming to get me soon because these humanoids are so…what’s the word? Limited. Anyways, I’m having a grand ole’ time in Death Valley and yea, I shall fear no evil. I got my rod and my staff and you know God always got that clickety clack in case suckas wanna act wack. He has been known to wipe out a town or two. You read the Holy Books, so ay, don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Zabriskie Point - Death Valley National Park
Meanwhile, back at The Ranch, the first annual Art & Wine Festival was this past weekend and what a time was had!
There were vendors with their drinks (obvi) and food—which regrettably I didn’t get any pics of—and artists from painters to hat makers to quilt makers, artisanal personal care products and native jewelry directly from the onsite local Oasis Shop and all things in between. And, perhaps my personal favorite was the music on the scene. There was one song, as soon as I heard it during sound check, I was like, Oooooh this tha one right here! The guys told me it’s not released yet, but let’s hype em up to get that thang out there because I needs it!
Peech & The Riley Rawlings Band. It’s like this song was written just for me
The grounds here are gorgeous. I have found several favorite trees so if you see me meditating in one of them, feel free to join or leave us be.
I still have much to see, but here are some pics from the grounds of both properties onsite, The Ranch & The Inn. Both have their own unique flair tied together by the tranquility of beauty in the middle of nowhere. Exactly where I like to be.
The Ranch. Borax Museum grounds. Yes, Borax, the cleaning agent, first mined here in Death Valley. Totally awesome dude!
The Borax Express (that’s not its name, but go with me here!) and machinery
Date palm grove in front of the Furnace Creek Golf Course—a mighty fine course indeed!
Desert flowers at the first tee. I think it’s the 1st tee anyway. Idk. I’m not a golf girlie yet so don’t quote me! 😝
Rock heart configuration in the community garden. A touch of softness in the harsh desert wild.
Another favorite tree location right in front of the natural oasis pictured below.
A scene on the grounds at The Inn. A natural spring oasis. My personal favorite! with the Panamint Mountains in the background. (I think those are the Panamint. SomeBuddy fact check me. I’m still learning the local geography!)
I’m enjoying the quiet. The peace. The serenity. I still have a lot of ground to cover, but it’s giving everything I needed & a bit more. The internet is a little spotty here, so have a little patience with tha kid as she sallies forth into parts unknown, territory uncharted. What an extraordinary time to be alive!
I hope you too are having a wonderful time, wherever in the world you may be. You could be anywhere, but here you are. With me. And I love that for you. And I love that for me. More adventures loading for you to see, but please enjoy the rest of your week and have an even better weekend. As ever and as always, thank you for being a friend. Real ones only!! See you next week, mon amies. Stay blessed, EveryBuddy, and God speed!
Love Always (& besitos!),
